Southern Exposure is one of the new expansion team introduced to the NVA in 2019. Southern Exposure is based out of Orlando, Florida. Owners OJ Catalan and Tony Glessner are current college coaches. OJ has been coaching NCAA I women’s volleyball for the past 11 years. With stops at University of Oklahoma, LIU Brooklyn, and now currently at the University of Florida as the technical coordinator. Tony Glessner has been coaching all levels of volleyball for 15 years as well, with stops at Indian River State College and is currently at the University of Michigan as the technical coordinator. OJ and Tony both own Next Level Volleyball Academy, which is geared towards running high level camps and clinics around the country.
The Southern Exposure roster is made of players from all around the country, with a majority residing in Florida. Most players on the roster are current professional players, former All-Americans, or training to become AVP professionals.
Southern Exposure is excited to bring back professional to the state of Florida, and is looking to make a statement.
